Conservation Scholarship Program Application.

 

            Thank you for your interest in the Saginaw Field and Stream Club Conservation Scholarship Program.   The Saginaw Field and Stream Club provides educational scholarship assistance to selected graduates of any Saginaw area high school and immediate family members who are members of Saginaw Field and Stream meeting certain criteria in pursuing a higher education major in a conservation related field.  

            Students meeting the above criteria already attending college and continuing to further their major studies in a conservation related field are also eligible.   As an applicant, you must assure The Saginaw Field and Stream Club Scholarship Committee that your education major is intended to lead you into a conservation related vocation.   Part of the scholarship selection process requires that you must also be available for a personal interview with the Scholarship Committee members.   Scholarship applications for non-conservation related fields of study will not be considered.

            The Saginaw Field and Stream Club strongly believes that promotion by precept, example and instruction, the highest type of conservation and sportsmanship among sportspersons and the general public.   To conserve and wisely utilize all wildlife and natural resources, by guarding our waters against pollution, and to promote and teach by precept and example conservation education.   The Saginaw Field and Stream Club pledges as conserving Americans to save and faithfully defend from waste, the natural resources of this country, its air, soil, and minerals, its forests, waters, and wildlife, for current and future generations to enjoy.

            Scholarship awards granted by The Saginaw Field and Stream Club may vary from $250 to $1,000, and may be granted to one or more students.   All scholarship awards shall be determined by The Saginaw Field and Stream Club Scholarship Selection Committee, which can be comprised of Club board members, selected club members, and representatives from public and private academia.

            To apply for consideration of scholarship assistance, complete the following application, and submit with your latest grade transcript from your high school or college.   You may also wish to include letters of recommendation, list or photo copies of previous scholarships received, awards, or other material that you feel will qualify you as a scholarship recipient.   Return all of the scholarship application materials to the attention of the Scholarship Committee to the address at the top of this page.
